Nineteen-year-old Eva is mourning the loss of her father and longing for her suitor, Lewis. The answer to her problems reveals itself amongst the windy bluffs of the Puget Sound: a mysterious door that allows Eva to escape moments of her life by jumping into the future.

Grieving, immature, and impatient to start a happier chapter, she embarks on what will become a traumatic journey of self-destruction. As she’ll come to learn, it’s not just her future on the line; Eva’s decisions affect those around her in ways that create lasting fissures of resentment and frustration. The only wounds time cannot heal are those left by time itself.
